To ship a part to Southern Charm for repair:

1. You may fill out our form at https://boaterscatalog.com/nbcat/product/hynautic/ and receive a repair order number. The form you get back in your e-mail MUST be attached to the outside of your box and a second copy placed in a separate zip lock bag INSIDE your box. The reason for this is that we do not want to chance losing your unit or confusing it with one of the 20 or so that are always in the shop.

FYI: If you are sending steering parts, THEY WILL LEAK OIL!

2. Package your part as follows; all parts must be sealed in leak proof plastic bags (3-4 Ziploc bags will usually hold ) with your repair order number written clearly on the outside of the bag holding your parts and the form you received back attached to the outside of the box as well as a second copy placed in a separate zip lock bag INSIDE your box.

IF YOUR UNIT LEAKS OIL AND SOAKS THE PACKAGE, IT MAY NOT ARRIVE AT OUR LOCATION!

3. In a SEPARATE zip lock bag , enclose our form and tape it to the outside of your package(Click Here to print out a form to send with your unit):

Also we need to know if you are sending it in because of a leak or if
it was doing something strange but not leaking (making noises, only
steering in one direction, etc).

4. Your repair order number must be written on the outside of the box, you may call us for a repair order at 800-745-0765

Ship it NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED! There are times when no one is
available in the office to receive packages, but UPS, FedEx, DHL, and
the Postal Service have a secure area to leave the package.

If it arrives when no one is available and a signature is required we may not get your unit, as we will not go to another location such as the post office to pick it up if a notice is left and the package is not re-delivered in a timely fashion.

If you feel you must insure your package, DO NOT SHIP VIA US MAIL. This would require a signature and we will not go pick it up.

We try to turn around repairs in 1-4 days, however, the technicians
only work Monday through Thursday.
